Roger Spencer is a self taught pianist who started playing piano at the age of 7. His interest and passion for the piano and gospel music was sparked at this early age by his childhood hero and mentor, Steve Adams, who was the pianist at his local church, and Steve's father was the pastor. Roger's first love has always been southern gospel music. He has been the piano player for numerous southern gospel quartets over the last 35 years. He currently plays for His Design Quartet out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Roger's ability to play in many different styles reflects his wide range of influences. From the smooth gospel style of Steve Adams and Roger Bennett to the blues of Ray Charles, to the rockabilly style of Jerry Lee Lewis, Roger's versatile piano ability has touched the hearts of audiences for over 35 years.
