About the Songwriter: Rod Martin has been writing songs since he was a teenager and is published by DSM Producers and has had his music featured on Saturday Night Live. He has three albums available from I-tunes and CD Baby: "Kahalu'u," "Love," and "The Best (part of my day)." His 'Love' album is filled with just that: lots of love. For twenty four years, Martin taught Poetry, Drama, English and Television Production for the DOE. Recently retired, he has turned his focus to writing books to help teachers. "Drama Games and Acting Exercises" published by Meriwether Publishing Ltd. Teaches how to incorporate improvisational theatre into the curriculum. "Future Poets" published by AuthorHouse, is a guide to writing new kinds of poetry. Rod is also active in the local theatre scene, having written and produced several movie musicals for airing on public access: the sci-fi melodrama musical "Star Pieces" for kids, the gospel musical "One More Time!" and the who-dunnit musical "Love Hurts, but Murder Kills."
