Born in 1976, I compose, improvise, perform....all styles. I studied Classical guitar as an undergrad and recieved a Master of Music from the University of Michigan in Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation in 2002. I then taught at a University in Mandeville, Jamaica for 2 semesters before returning to the states to pursue writing, recording, and performing full time. In 2003 I conceptualized and founded EN2 (a now defunct jazz fusion trio) and toured the midwest and eastern US from 2003-2005. We released two independant albums, the latter consisting of my original compositions, the first an almost entirely improvised studio session. My latest efforts have been focused on solo recordings where I play nylon string and steel string guitar, a tiny bit of banjo, percussion, and vocals. I write about life, emotions, reality, spirituality, love, conflict... I'm honest and I try to let the music speak as it wants to. The creative force is powerful, and when it is most effective is when we acknowledge where it comes from and allow it to be unrestricted. This is the music on Desert Picture.
