Must Be the Moon
With Must Be the Moon, Richard Paris explores his sense of harmonic structure and melodic construction to create a body of work that is diverse yet cohesive on this guitar driven album. With 12 tracks, this album spans the distance from ballads to rockers with ease and continuity. Contributing artists supplement this solo effort with incredible bass, piano, drums and saxophone work. Richard's roots are in Tulsa, Oklahoma and South Louisiana. He started playing the guitar (the one his brother got for Christmas) when he was 13 years old. He has played in bands steadily since he was in the 8th grade. For 20 years he entertained vacationers on the Gulf of Mexico beaches of Destin, Florida. For much of that time he was with a popular cover band called Salty Dog. Richard now lives on the Oregon Coast and is focusing on a new acoustic, all original music duo called Richwood, while continuing work on a new solo album, as well as other endeavors like teaching guitar lessons and publishing his teaching method book called Wanna Play Guitar. Among his favorite past times are storm watching and landscaping.
