With "The other Chopin", Reza Najfar and Fausto Quintabà present the "cantabile Chopin," less considered in the past compared to the pianist magic. In his adaptations for flute and piano, Reza Najfar traces the "vox humana" in the compositions of Chopin and explicitly places it in the centre of his interpretation. Thus, an intimate and vulnerable Chopin appears. Unexpectedly, one can recognize the influence of the Italian "belcanto", of Vincenzo Bellini or John Field (a student of Clementi), which contributes a unique brightness to Chopin's piano works. The Mazurkas, Waltzes and Nocturnes collected in the present recording refer to original compositions of the years 1831 to 1846.
