Reveriii is one of the newest bands on the Chicago music scene, and is quickly developing a following among a broad range of rock and roll fans with it's exciting mix of melody, edge and musical range. The band was formed in 1997 by it's three members: lead singer and bassist Chris Capodice, lead guitarist Bill Krefting and drummer/percussionist Dave Barbel. They rolled up decades of influences from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Yes to Eric Clapton, Rush and Pearl Jam into an original style voiced by Capodice's guttural vocal sound. This range of influences is reflected in the rock buffet they lay out for listeners at every show. In one Reveriii original, Not Out There For Me, the band teeters between a reflective melody of a lonely man and an edgy rock crescendo in which singer Chris Capodice wails an emotional chorus. On the other end of the buffet is Rosalia, a free-flowing acoustic tune that is instantly memorable. Listeners will even be treated to the bluesy Playin'With Me, complete with classic blues riffs and lyrics lamenting, 'You spend more time playin' with yourself than you're playin' with me.'
