Was It You
Red Light GO deliver a mix of soaring synths, chunky guitar melodies, dangerous, driving rhythms, sinister, sneering vocals combined with menacing, meandering, strange, but true lyrics which tell stories of lives and loves. After the demise of Bath based band 'Cosmic Jive' in 1998, main songwriters, Andy Madison (Vox) and Tom Hammond (Drums) continued to write and record in their Magic Box studios, developing their unique brand of power pop, which during Cosmic Jives hey day, captivated audiences up and down the country. Red Light Go were formed In June 2004, when Tom and Andy, fuelled by the desire to record an album of their best songs (including some classic Cosmic Jive), decided to put a new band together. Guitarist, Rob Wright, provides crazy edgy guitar riffs which grapple with the numan-esque soaring keyboard sounds of former Kute keyboardist Marc Truman. Steve Nelhams provides the solid driving Bass lines and Toms drums dance and skip with real energy and power, producing a sound which reflects many of the bands diverse influences. Red Light GO are currently working on their debut album with up and coming producer Leo Nine, this is due for release on the bands own label 'Magic BOX Records'. The bands debut EP 'Was It You' has received rave reviews. The EP features two tracks from their current studio sessions ('Was It You' and 'Tango' and a couple of exclusive LIVE recordings - 'Elvis' and 'Take The Picture'
