Elizabeth Russo Originally from the Bay Area, Elizabeth came to Los Angeles in 2003 after studying recording arts and audio engineering. As a child, Elizabeth kept a diary of poetry that became songs after she took a music theory class and started playing alto saxophone in 6th grade. In LA, Elizabeth has had success as a model and actress, but she always felt her true calling was as a lyricist. When Elizabeth met Ashley in 2008, she realized that their combined talents could take them both further in the music industry than either one could go alone. Elizabeth contributes to the business savvy of Rebel Punk Kitty as well as to the lyrical and melodic content of the duo's songs. She has worked within the music industry for several years and is adept at marketing and promotions. Ashley Miers Ashley relocated to LA in 2008 after earning her BA at the University of Denver. She is originally from Nebraska. Ashley grew up taking piano lessons from the ages of 4 to 14. She participated in school chorus and band as a child, and as a teenager, she taught herself to play guitar. Ashley was always interested in writing and poetry, and she began to write songs to accompany her guitar playing as a teenager. In 2002, Ashley took an electronic music class and began to learn to work with audio software. This enabled her to begin rudimentary recordings of her songs that later paved the way for professional recordings including an EP and debut album 'Aftershock'. Ashley develops acoustic and piano melodies for Rebel Punk Kitty. She also sings, writes lyrics and assists with business, design and promotions.
