Product notities

'Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away...' Song of Songs 8:7 (NIV) This Bible quote from King Solomon captures the theme of this dynamic Country album based on 'true life' and 'true love' experiences of people everywhere. It has songs about the love of popular Inspirational Country artist, Rebecca Linda Smith, and her songwriter husband, Dr. Robert Frank Smith, as well as their passionate love for their city, state, and country. The title song 'True Love' sets the stage and theme for the album with an upbeat tempo and catchy music to begin the album and is reinforced by a softer Contemporary Country love song, 'Love You More Now,' to show how 'true love' grows even stronger over time. Another Contemporary Country love song is 'Because Of Your Love' which is fast paced with great Country music that reflects the unquestioned love of the other person and God's love for all of us that gives our souls peace and rest. The 'Texas State Of Mind' song (recently uploaded on You Tube by a traditional Country music fan) is a Country Western two-step with the steel and fiddle and is also written on two levels describing the artist's love for the beauty and rich variety of her native state as well as her 'hunk cowboy' husband while 'Old El Paso' is a tribute to this lovely and legendary West Texas town where the artist resides and is a spin-off of the classic Marty Robbins ballad. Cover songs about 'true love' include 'Not Knowing Anymore,' a ballad with Country great Marty Raybon, 'Walk On Faith,' a classic number one hit by former pro football player Mike Reid, and 'Always, Always,' about the 'true love' between a mother and her son and the cycle of life. Other Traditional Country cover songs are 'Easy Loving You' about a teenage girl who has a baby out of wedlock for a hazel-eyed quarterback and finally learns how to love herself because of her love for her daughter as they are both 'growing up so fast' while 'Come As You Are' let's us know that for love 'you don't need looks or brains or money or fame' and there's no judge or jury; 'all you need is a willing heart' so just 'come as you are' because love takes what's broken down and gives it wings. Fun loving Country songs about 'true love' include 'Body Language' which is the true 'language of love' and 'how we say what we really mean at work or play' and 'Change Your Mind' is what every man and woman can identify with in day to day relationships as they grow older together and the woman needs to be reminded that she's still got it 'no matter the time or weather' and can still change her husband's mind like when they first got together even when he gets up on the weekend 'wishin to go fishin.' A song that contrasts with 'true love' is 'Wolves' that is symbolic of the 'wolves' in the world in every little town and city who may 'look like sheep' but prey on the innocent. A peppy Christian Country song is 'Jesus Rock Of Love' that depicts God's 'true love' for all of us whether we're going through the 'valley of the shadow of death' or the 'valley of our own success' and which is stronger than any stone and is invincible. The album ends with a powerful Patriotic song, 'America America,' written by the artist and her husband to thank our Founders and God for his unfailing love and to ask Him to restore and bless this great nation and 'Old Glory' that we all so dearly love. Ten of the 15 tracks on the album were penned by Robert Frank, a Top 10 nominee for Songwriter of the Year with Inspirational Country Music (ICM) Awards in Nashville, and two of those tracks were co-written with Rebecca Linda, a Top 5 Nominee for Female Vocalist of the Year with ICM Awards. All songs were recorded with well-known Country music composer Mike Schrimpf and his band in Nashville and were produced by Gene Higgins, President and Founder of HMG Nashville and Power Source Magazine, well-known in both Christian Country and Country music genres. Mike created the song melodies for the 10 original songs on this CD penned by the artist and/or her husband. Rebecca Linda's popular music with her clear vocals and deep rich alto voice is in great demand with DJs and fans alike and is now being played around the world in Christian, Country, Bluegrass, Patriotic, and Western music genres. True Love was selected as 'Album of the Month' for February, 2010 issue of Power Source Magazine in Nashville by an independent music reviewer who comments on Rebecca Linda's 'strong soulful alto' and both the Texas and Music Row influences in the songs and music on this CD. The first release from this album, 'Wolves,' was awarded international recognition as 'The Most Played Country Selection for 2009' played on One on One Syndicated Radio Ministries and Gospel Classics by CEO's Wayne and Kathy Graham of Niles, Michigan. A plaque was presented to Renewed Records Artist Rebecca Linda Smith and Songwriter Dr. Robert Frank Smith for this award. This album was also selected as # 1 CD in Top 20 Western Swing music albums by Joe Baker, a Western Music Hall of Fame DJ from Ruidoso, N.M., in his award-winning February 2010 Backforty Newsletter and listed as # 1 CD by Big Fred Walker, another Western music DJ from Michigan, in same Newsletter with 'Texas State Of Mind' selected as # 1 song. The album was nominated for 2010 Traditional Album of the Year with the Western Heritage Awards at the National Western Heritage and Cowboy Museum in Oklahoma, City. Please see outstanding album review (May 2011) by BJ Jones, Music Editor of Country Chart Magazine and CountryChart.com by clicking link on Home Page of RenewedRecords.com website or go directly to CountryChart.com. The reviewer compares the masterpiece duet (Not Knowing Anymore) by Rebecca Linda Smith/Marty Raybon to classic power ballads of Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers (Country music) and Sandy Patty/Larnelle Harris (Christian music) and applauds the artist for her bold approach like classic female artists of the past who combined Country and Gospel to a blessed union of musical bliss. Songs from this CD are still being played around the world as far away as TLC Radio-New Zealand.
