Red White & True
Randy Parks was a member of the Oklahoma All-State choir in high school, toured Europe with an All-American choir after high school graduation, has performed for presidents, governors, senators, congressmen, and other people too numerous to mention who were not criminals. Songs he has written have even been performed by professional singers in churches, on radio, television, videos, movies, and reportedly, in showers across America. While teaching and coaching for 32 years, most of his students have been able to overcome his passion for music and classroom humor, with some, to his surprise, even becoming productive citizens. Now, in spite of trepidation on the part of his family and friends, he has leapt into the online music chasm, filling the obvious void of conservative politically oriented protest songs. His music ranges from humorously eclectic to vaguely familiar, but always thought provoking, even to the politically obtuse. While no animals were harmed in the completion of this project, it should be noted that 'Red, White, and True' is an album of songs written and performed for the toads that live under the pergola in his backyard, and conservative political events across the mid west. Painted by his granddaughter, the flag on the front cover captures the patriotic Americana atmosphere found in every song in his album, and unless you are on a liquid diet of liberal kool-aid, you will drink in the mellow vocal styling offered in this project with a smile.
