Every once in awhile in the world of live performance, a band is able to 'Deliver and Record' a show that is worthy of a CD release. This is one of those rare performances that did not require any over dubbing or editing. Just a real, raw, live, high energy, stellar performance. 'FESTIVAL' was recorded at The Sunbanks Rhythm and Blues Festival in Washington State, after a recent international tour when the band was firing on all cylinders. There was no doubt in the minds of the band members, that this performance should become a CD to release to the world. The Randy Oxford Band then took some of these songs from the CD to perform in Memphis, TN. recently and ended up in the final 8 in the world at the International Blues Challenge. With more than 110 Bands and 90 Solo/Duo acts, representing 12 different countries, The Randy Oxford Band, performing songs from this new CD, has opened up a world of more touring offers that the band will be taking full advantage of in the coming months and beyond. This 6 piece international band featuring musicians from 4 different countries, backs up the amazing vocals of jada Amy out of Texas, while featuring an exciting Rhythm section with Rhode Island native, Richard Sabol on the Drums and Farko Dosumov on the Bass from the country of Uzbekistan. Throw in 2 of the most exciting Guitarists on the scene today, Jho Blenis from Japan and Rafael Tranquilino from Mexico City, along with the award winning horn playing of Randy Oxford, and you have a very unique and exciting sound. All members in the band are also featured soloists on this CD. There are additional vocals by Blenis and Tranquilino to keep this entire recording fresh throughout the hour long recording/performance. This kind of energy just can't be captured in a recording studio like it can live on stage at a major music festival. With high quality mixing and mastering, the production of this CD is very high end, and plays very well through all kinds of sound systems.
