Time Weary Traveler
Randy Bruce is an ageless folk-rocker who began his career in 1968. A founding member of legendary Wisconsin country-rock acts Mesa (1970-72) and Daddy Whiskers (1972-74, 1979-81) and then perfroming as a solo artist through 1987. After a two decade hiatus from the music business Randy returned with his debut solo album, An Amercan Anthem, in April 2009. In August of 2010 he released his second album, Time Weary Traveler, which includes a half dozen songs he wrote in the 1960's and '70's, and a half dozen songs he has just recently written. Randy has recruited some top notch musicians to lend their talents to his Americana albums: pat mAcdonald (harmonica) from Timbuk3 (Future's So Bright I've Gotta Wear Shades), Scott Neubert (dobro, pedal steel) who led Hal Ketchum and Trace Adkins' bands, and Tommy Burroughs (fiddle), a 7 time Memphis String Player of the Year Award winner. Engineer and co-producer Hans Christian (bass, cello, drum programming) has recorded with Robbie Robertson and Gene Clark and toured as a member of Billy Idol's band.
