Separated at Birth
Rob Blevins and Dave Koynok make up the acoustic duo 'The Random Brothers'. They've been described as being like 'Simon and Garfunkle with rabies', like 'Crosby and Stills with Brain flu' and like 'Two Bob Dylans that were raised by a pack of cross-eyed raccoons.' They've also been called the most talented acoustic act in Pittsburgh. These guys have been playing together since 1995 and have survived more than 1200 live performances. They play damn near everything - from kid's campfire songs to cover songs to comedy songs to originals. Separated at Birth is a collection of 15 original Random Brothers songs that blend the progressive acoustic, rock, folk, country, and blues genres. The CD also includes the Random Brother's special arrangement of the Western Pennsylvania classic 'Cocaine Blues.
