Raimundo Santos is a Vocalist and composer who has written over 200 songs. He has an original sound and style. He is first generation Angolan â?? American and in his music you can hear the influence. He also plays piano with a smooth soft touch to compliment his vocals. He has been performing since an early age, Making a living as a musician he has worked as a Music Director, omposer/Arranger, Background Singer and Piano Player for theatre productions, recording sessions, workshops, community organizations and churches. His credits include performing as part of a pick-up choir for Celine Dion and sharing the stage with Grover Washington Jr. at the Freedom Theatre First annual Tribute to John Allen. He has produced a Gospel CD for artist Bonnie Edwards, and He has received the ASCAP Young Composers Awards. Being an Angolan-American raised in Philadelphia you hear an urban edge to his folk style. He also speaks Portuguese and on the CD he sings "carnaval" in Portuguese. He has toured in Africa with the group N'Sex Love where he was a singer and keyboard player. On this tour He learned an original version of the song "Humbi Humbi" the first cut on the CD. The song Jaminin is a collaboration with two of his brothers who are working on their CD. Raimundo's music is up lifting. He sings mostly about love in a way that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
