Arts & Farces
The band was formed 3 years ago and has been refining it's live performance with a string of successful gigs in London, including several appearances at the 12 Bar Club alongside artists such as Tony Remy, and an appearance at The Mean Fiddler supporting the acclaimed Tiger Lilies, the band were invited to Germany where they made several appearances including the Traveufer Festival and the Summer Jazz Festival and are regular performers at the Rhythms Of The World Festival in Hertfordshire. The music retains a unique sound that cannot be pigeon holed, and in the words of Mike O'Toole from Beat magazine - 'it is a rejection of docile adherence to a single musical style'. 'Imagine King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Tom Waits, Zappa, Captain Beefheart and the BBC Youth Jazz Orchestra all playing together. There is some phenomenal playing on here - probably one of the best bunch of musicians that have graced this page' - Rhythm Magazine, UK, April 05. 'A curious racket which borrows from the likes of Frank Zappa and King Crimson... but which stands convincingly on it's own two feet.' - TNT Magazine, UK. 'Eclectic medley of musical styles... a sound that is truly unique. The sound of jazz and cabaret, classical and rock, a music that is stimulating through it's very diversity.' - Tharunka, Sydney, Australia. 'Extraordinary time changes, tonal exploration, dazzling arrangements...' - Drum Media, Sydney, Australia.
