A mix of classic and modern rock with strong influences from R&B are the initial factors behind the melodic rock group, Properdose. The band's northern Californian musical roots were also a underlying foundation, for guitarist Justin Depew and vocalist Saul Lopez formed a tight friendship while still in High School. The two graduated in the summer of 2000 and shortly thereafter, set out to form the group Properdose. Following the winter of 2002, EMT student and bassist Jamison Aguirrie joined the band. The group set sights to the studio and began work on Unleashed, their debut EP, with plans to release independent in late 2005. During recording, the band made the decision to find a permanent drummer. While attending the music academy in Los Angles, David Grant was the last piece added to the group. Unleashed was released in the fall of 2005 showcasing a deeper and more detailed side of the band and quickly began to move itself into the hands of the public. Tracks such as 'Slumber' and the self-reflecting 'Immortal' struck a chord and found themselves a home on the Local Licks Radio Show on Sacramento's 98ROCK. With steady requests and a growing fan base, one thing is certain. Properdose is in demand!
