Precho, (like echo, but precho), is composed of three members from St. Louis, Missouri: Mark Poshak on piano, Todd Sarvies on guitar, and Andy Murphy on buckets. The three grew up together through highschool, but it wasn't until after college that the three would meet again. In January of 2003, the guys began writing songs and by March, they played their first show. Beginning with moving rhythms of the guitar, piano, and a set of trash can buckets for percussion, the band has become an instant hit by adding passionate melodies and sweet three part harmonies. Precho sings with genuine hearts to tell their own stories of faith, love and life, all with a touch of sincerity and light-hearted humor. Mixing sounds familiar to Dashboard Confessional, ColdPlay, Guster, and Counting Crows, Precho creates a unique acoustic rock sound all of their own. Ranging from a laid-back evening in the coffee shop of a Borders Bookstore, to a rocking set at St. Louis' Mississippi Nights, Precho crosses genres and venues to entertain audiences of all ages. The much anticipated debut album, 'less myself,' was released in winter of 2004. The first track, 'Santa Fe' represents the acoustic rock sound Precho embodies. Track two, 'Whisper Your Name,' is an upbeat, rock melody and track three, 'Chasing the Same,' is a moving song that displays the passionate melodies and true hearts that makes Precho truely unique. The 12-track album displays Precho's range of up-beat rock to mellow sounds that are attractive to any listener's ear. Precho continues to grow as they have been featured in the local television media on 'REEL Entertainment,' 'Show Me St. Louis,' and on radio at 'KDHX 88.1 FM' and '105.7 The Point - Local Hour.'
