In May of 2005 PK Dwyer was nominated for a Seattle Weekly Music Award [Best In Blues] and as a result of the nomination was awarded a grant from Seattle's Art Patch to begin recording a new CD. PK began recording at Grammy award winning Garey Shelton Productions in December of 2005 and the end result is Healed, a raw & rip roaring acoustic take on PK's version of the blues featuring Dwyer on 6 and 12 string guitar, along with his blistering guitar and signature vocals. Healed was recorded live in the studio and has PK going solo as well as being backed by members of the original PK Dwyer Trio on select tunes - Dave Hutchison on Bass and Paul Black doing percussion. Guest musicians include Northwest Folk & Blues Legend Alice Stuart [Winner: Best In Blues 2006 Seattle Weekly Music Awards] on acoustic guitar & vocals, Michael Guthrie [Banjocaster] and Larry 'Jugs' VanOver [Jug]. Each tune on Healed is an organic & 100% original gem. Stand out tracks include Crossroads Mall which takes a jab at Wal-Mart and features PK and Alice playing together beautifully; Gypsy Blues, a timely piece bemoaning the high price of gas; Here Comes A Parade, an ode to Seattle's Fabulous Fremont Fair; and the outstanding title track Healed (One More Time).
