"Mix a young, glamorous, award winning vocal talent -- Miriam Pico -- with a seasoned jazz piano professional -- David Chown -- and the result is a "gourmet" music delight to taste, savor, and order again for your jazz/pop music menu and your listening pleasure. Performing for the first time together, Pico and Chown are a refreshing new sound combo from Traverse City Michigan who are obviously right at home with each other interpreting a variety of jazz standards and modern hits. This is center stage material. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!" (David Lean-Pianist, Composer, Lyricist) In July 2007, two of the most highly acclaimed talents of the Northern Michigan rock and jazz scenes came together to record what would become an award-winning song. At the urging of their good friend, Chris Selby, David Chown and Miriam Pico recorded "Someone to Watch Over Me" live at Kurtz Music in Traverse City, Michigan. The recording was then submitted to Kawai's "Searching For a Star" national CD recording competition and won first place. The overwhelmingly positive response from their fans inspired Miriam and David to record this CD, despite the fact that their very busy lives would cause the project to take over two years to complete! Hence the title, "S'bout Time". So here it is! The debut recording by Pico and Chown, hopefully the start of a long and fruitful collaboration!
