I used to wake up in the morning and grab my guitar and start singing as hard and as loud as I could. No one was around so I could take some risks with how my voice worked. After a few months of finding my groove, I started jotting down ideas and lyrics. This evolved into an outpouring of emotion that I never knew I had bottled up inside. I remember belting away and being so overcome my eyes would well up as I let out the music within. There have been so many intense life experiences to draw from it's hard to keep track of it all. It has taken years of introspection and song writing to get to the point where I felt like I had something significant to share. I hope that by listening to these songs, you will find validation in your own struggles in life with the songs 'Rewind,' 'So Long', and 'Invisible,' hope from my victories in 'Illuminate Me,' and 'After the Time,' and joy in the playful melodies of 'Moonlight.' 'Way Beyond the Line,' is telling of my frustration with the injustices we see in the world, yet do little to right. 'Displacement,' is certainly the anomaly on the CD yet gives it the extra push it needed to realize it's full circle. It shares my frustrations with our culture as does 'Everyone Comes in' and 'Where Do You Run.' As this compilation of my life is now a 'product,' I hope that you do not treat is as such, but rather join me on a journey as I share my heart with you. These songs that you hear are an outpouring from my soul.
