About The Artist: Pete grew up in South Texas about an hour away from South Padre Island. The area is at the southern tip of Texas on the Gulf of Mexico. Along the way Pete was exposed much to the heavy influences of Spanish and Tex Mex Music. He continued to experience the great sounds and rhythms of Rock, Jazz, Country, New Age and Gospel. 'I have always loved the guitar, classical or electric', Pete says. 'It is such a powerful instrument to express my inner emotions and thoughts, that sometimes it is truly an extension of me'. 'On the other hand I always strive to do so much more, so I continue to experiment with other instruments that add texture, ambience, and character in creating and composing music'. Pete's musical style has been compared to the likes of Seals & Crofts, Jose Feliciano, Peter Frampton, Carlos Santana, Crosby,Stills,Nash&Young, Dire Straits and Peter White. Pete states that music can take you to another level or essence of life. It can be happy or sad, invigorating or simply mind boggling. It can make you think or meditate. Sometimes it can take you so far away you won't want to come back to the complexities and realities of life. The Bible speaks of making a loud and joyful noise to praise God. Pete interprets that passage as a challenge to bring out the best in yourself and others. The most important thing is that his music brings joy to you and puts you in a better frame of mind. The music is decked out with classical guitars, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, electric piano, synthesizers, drums & percussion and great powerful vocals, with meticulous orchestrated arrangements on several tracks. Through the years Pete had the opportunity to perform with various types of bands. One band that he recalls was a pop Mexican band with a lead singer by the name of Tino Pecina. Pete and Tino Pecina were the opening act in Dallas Texas for Los Tigres Del Norte, a very popular and famous group out of Mexico. Pete is presently the lead guitarist and vocalist for the Doc Pedro Band, a variety blues rock type band. The Doc Pedro Band participated in a battle of the bands and won best original song in the blues category. Weeks later the band went on to be the opening act for the Southern Rock All Stars with former Blackfoot & Molly Hatchet members. There was also a special guest appearance by Mike Estes, guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd Band.
