WTF is a diverse collection of interesting, & entertaining, original songs composed, and performed by San Francisco Bay Area music scene veteran Pelham Houchin. The Album does not contain any explicit language, don't let the title bother you. Moods range from What the ....?, to Happy in love, light-hearted fun, solem personal loss, lust, psychedelia, galloping instrumental, & mellow time. Rock with elements of Country, Jazz, Latin, and the Blues comprise this 12 song collection. 'Hey, Juanita!' has been called 'the next Margaritaville' by many. The title song 'WTF' is a humorous observation of these modern times. Pelham plays the acoustic and electric guitars, resonator guitar, bass, synthesizer, drum programs, lead vocals, and most of the harmony vocals. He has been playing in bands and writing songs since 1968. His influences range from The Beach Boys, Beatles, Albert King, Merle Haggard, to Steely Dan. A few of his good friends made some contributions to the CD as well. Grant Walters did two outstanding performances on harmonica on the songs 'Bad Habit of Love' and 'Ride with Me'. Pel has played in Rock, Country, R&B, Celtic, and Blues bands since his teenage years, and the music on WTF can not be 'pidgeon-holed' due to it's diversity. If you enjoy a variety in your music, you'll enjoy Pelham Houchin's (pronounced; Pel-lum How-chin) 'WTF'. Take a sample listen and see.
