Peggy Lindblad is a singer/songwriter from St. Louis, MO. While most people who have heard her in concert find her music easy to like, they often find it hard to define quickly. Her music doesn't fit neatly into one category. She calls it "folk rock with hints of blues and jazz." Her voice is smooth and pleasing, as is her acoustic guitar accompaniment. Though she has recorded only her original songs, she plays a mix of originals and cover songs when she performs. Some of the artists she covers include Paul Simon, Tracy Chapman, Norah Jones, James Taylor, Mick Jagger, and many more. She plays songs from as far back as the 60's, and covers several from all the decades between then and present day. Peggy has played a number of venues around St. Louis including St. Louis University's Cupples House, Wired Coffee, Hartford Coffee Co., and San Sai Japanese Grill. She also has experience singing at festivals such as Webster Groves Art and Air, and The Manchester Festival, and she has performed at concert venues such as Focal Point and Off Broadway. Peggy is looking forward to sharing her first CD, Brighter Place, with audiences in St. Louis and beyond. People who have been to her concerts will find they are familiar with the songs on her new recording. She continues to write new songs with the hope of recording another CD in the not-too distant future. Peggy lives in Webster Groves, MO with her husband, Ed, her son, Jonah, and her dog, Zoe.
