Between You & Me
This is Paul Staunton's first solo album. He is a 31 year old Northside Dublin man, who has been living in Italy and America for the last three years. He returned to Ireland in late 2008 and recorded over a four month period with Paul Moore on bass (Van Morrison, Riverdance, and Moving Hearts), James Delany on Piano (Clannad, Chuck Berry, Sharon Shannon), Al Cowan on Drums (Paranoid Visons, Don Baker), Jacqueline Di Croce on Backing Vocals. The album was recorded by Paul Thomas (U2, UB40, Rory Gallagher, Paul Brady and many more acts) Paul Staunton plays all the guitars, acoustic and electric and is the main vocalist on the album. Paul has direct blood connection to Thin Lizzy, as his Father 'Joe Staunton' was the original guitar player with 'Orphanage' the first Thin Lizzy line up until Eric Bell came along. This album is for your listening pleasure. A laid back folk, country, blues flavour mixed with British melodic pop. All the lyrics and music were originally written by Paul Staunton. The album cover is of interest also. The picture of the Lady in an almost Mona Lisa pose was originally painted by Jose De Creeft of his wife Lorrie Goulet. De Creeft was a notable Sculpter and has works all over the world, the Vatican City, his native Spain and his famous bronze sculptuer 'Alice in Wonderland' in Central Park New York and many more.
