Paul studied musical composition and classical guitar in New York and Seattle and spent years performing theater and playing with musical groups. For several years, he played with an Oregon-based Contra-dance band. For the past several years, Paul has written and performed in the Seattle-based political band, "Patriot Act." They produced the CD "You Can't Fool Me." This political and social satire inspired Paul to record his own CD. Paul has written scripts and music for the theatre, including the musical Birds, performed at Seattle Children's Theater in 1985. More recently, he collaborated on a blues musical, Sweet Willow, and a musical comedy, A Man Worth Having, set in 1774 and satirizing American idealism. Paul has begun working on his next collection of songs, which he plans to record and release on CD.
