Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin Patrice Downey has been singing practically all of her life. Her first singing debut was as a member of a group which was formed while she was in the fourth grade. It was during this young period of her life that she developed a passion for the R&B soul sound that she still delivers vocally today. She has since sung in various choir groups and as a background vocalist for other local area bands. As the former lead singer of Milwaukee's hometown group, F'TRU, Patrice has performed on the small stage at Milwaukee's Summerfest, at the Performing Arts Center before a packed audience, and at various college events and nightclubs. She has toured to Las Vegas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Chicago and Lake Geneva. In addition, Patrice has had the pleasure of opening for a number of national recording artists, including Jessie Powell and Syleena Johnson. The group F'TRU completed production of two CD's. One CD was released, but unfortunately with the group's disbanding, the other CD was shelved. Who is Patrice Downey? She is a singer, performing artist, writer, poet, and entertainer.
