Thanks for finding my music. I hope it helps you draw close to the Lord. These songs are worship songs. They all have been used in local congregations to sing to Jesus. Many of them grew out of my time as worship leader at Calvary Chapel Miami and then later at Calvary Chapel Kendall. Here are some interesting facts about some of them. 'Intimacy' This is the newest. It was recorded entirely using a MacBook Pro and Garage Band software. 'Sweet Sweet Jesus' Any songwriter know the importance of a "hook"; it's that part of a song that you think about when you think about a song. My friend Art Murillo taught me about using several musical hooks in a song even before the vocal starts. Not sure I achieved that but I was thinking about it when I started writing "Sweet Sweet Jesus." Here's another interesting story. When I first wrote this song, the words were completely different; I don't even remember them now. I played it for my wife and she said it sounded like a "Jesus is my girlfriend" song. Hmmm. Back to the drawing board. I wrote about the blood and the cross and now it's just a Jesus song! 'You Are The One' The main part of this song was written as I was walking in the morning spending time with the Lord. 'Hold Me Lord' This song started when I was sitting on the floor in my office with my guitar. I just started worshipping. That seems to be the way the best worship songs come; they are born out of a sweet time with the Lord and then they are crafted and crafted again. Here's what some listeners say about this song: "This is one of those songs that just touch God's heart. He desires that relationship with His people....a love relationship so close...more than just a Father...but a lover!" "It's a beautiful song! It gave me chill bumps as I was listening!" "This song was simply beautiful. The opening lyrics took me straight to forgiveness. It seem pure and heart felt. The tempo was perfect for a heart felt prayer." "This is a very beautiful soothing song..perfect for the soul" "Hey good song Pat!" "Simply beautiful lyrics and voice sound." "Thank you for your song, I will use it during worship and as part of a communion service. My God continue to bless and inspire you." 'Let Everything That Has Breath' This one gets the most CCLI usage. 'Quiero Darte' This one was written to be part of the Spanish TV show, Nueva Direccion. I love playing piano. This was written on the piano. I originally sat down and tried to translate "Sweet Sweet Jesus" into Spanish. But it seems like the Lord wanted me to write a new song. 'Abrazame' This is a translation of "Hold Me Lord". This was also featured on the television show, "Nueva Direccion." Unlike the English version, we recorded this with only the ladies singing. It came out heavenly. 'We Crown You' This was written around Christmas time. Makes a good Christmas worship song because it speaks of "God with us, Emmanuel."
