Ensemble Parnassos was founded in 2002 by students of Music Academy in Katowice (Poland) wanting to perform music written in XVII and XVII century in a historically informed way on adequate instruments. Now Parnassos is one of the leading young early music chamber groups in Poland. They perform regularly on many festivals, among all: Miedzynarodowy Festiwal Muzyki Organowej i Kameralnej w Lezajsku,Chanterelle, Muzyczne Wieczory na Salwatorze, Mikolowskie Dni Muzyki, Festival Baroque d'Auvergne i Festival de la Vezere. Parnassos has successfully invited Barthold Kuijken and Simon Standage to play with them in Poland. The ensemble also cooperates with renowned Polish musicians, such as Dariusz Paradowski, Piotr Olech, Jan Tomasz Adamus and Karolina Brachman. In addition to this members of the ensemble play in many Polish and European Early Music groups, such as Arte dei Suonatori, Harmonologia, Concerto Polacco, Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra, Le Cercle de l'Harmonie, Le Parlement de Musique, European Union Baroque Orchestra. In year 2004 members of the ensemble and Karolina Brachman won second prize on chamber music competition Concerto barocco in Wuppertal. In year 2007 first CD of the ensemble - "O time so fair! O evening hour!" was published.
