This Canadian artist hails from Canada's "Big Island". A product of the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, Pamela grew up listening to her dad play in a rock band. Leaving home at 17, she moved to Vancouver to study at Capilano College, majoring in Vocal Jazz. For the last decade, she has honed her craft, cutting her teeth in a variety of venues and genres, she moved at ease from musical theatre to coffee houses, recording studios to local bands. R&B, Pop, Celtic, or Jazz, she's enjoyed them all and developed her own personal style along the way. Pamela's songs have reached top 10 charts on radio stations such as CFBX 92.5FM in Kamloops B.C. Praised by Cindy Oxley of Edmonton's "Musicalmania" as having a "pure and angelic voice", vocal lovers are in for a treat. Her songs have well crafted lyrics, with powerful imagery, and are sung with raw emotion, complimented by her silky vocals. As the title track and songs like "Sail Away" and "Dancing on Teardrops" hint at, they are about crossroads, broken hearts and personal strength. "Let us not forget what makes us all alike - our emotions...if you listen not only to the lyrics, but to the movement and feeling of the music, you will find a piece of yourself in every song." Recorded at Raincoast Studios in Nanaimo, BC, Pamela was joined by her much sought after studio musicians, J. Douglas Dodd, a multi-award winning Pianist, composer, arranger and musical director, Bassist Scott Macleod, a rock, jazz and blues musician with over 30 years experience, and drummer Jordan Stringer, a multi-talented musician with degrees in world percussion, classical voice and sound engineering.
