Pabs Dadivas as Lapu-Lapu Pabs Dadivas the composer, lyricist and librettist of the musical Lapu Lapu and the Jewel of the Ocean" is originally from Manila. He came to the United States in 1979. Three of his books on poetry that was published in the late '70's entitled 'Mother Sun', Anak Araw and Heart of the Lotus are now catalogued in the libraries of Yale University, Cornell University, the Library of Congress and the Australian National Library. Pabs extensively toured Asia during the early and late '70's . He also performed at the world famous Budokan Hall in Tokyo, Japan and has recorded with Harvey Mason who was the drummer of George Benson and producer of the 80's famed American jazz group "Seawind". While in Manila he has recorded several albums with RCA Vicor and Polydor Polygram records, and has produced a couple of hits entitled 'Kung Sakali', 'Giliw', 'Haribol ', 'Mahal' and the with the Circus Band he recorded the hits "Circus Live" and Consciousness 3" album. Pabs went to Medical school in Manila at the Centro Escolar University. In 1974 he was awarded a full music scholarship at the University of the Philippines. Rachel Robinson as Princess Diwata Rachel Robinson has one of the sweetest voices in New York City . She appeared as the peasant child in the opera 'Fedora' opposite the world renowned tenor Plácido Domingo and soprano Mirella Freni. Rachel 's voice is equally at home in the worlds of musical theatre, jazz, cabaret, and recording. She has sung at Don't Tell Mama, appeared in Inverse Theater's The American Revolution, won Second Place in the 2006 5 Towns Music and Arts Competition, and was a finalist in the 2005 NATS-NYC voice competition. She is a graduate of NYU's Program in Vocal Performance where she appeared in 110 In the Shade, The Merry Widow, The Pirates of Penzance, and Hansel and Gretel. Originally from Washington, D.C., Rachel has performed roles with some of the area's leading companies, including the Washington National Opera, the Washington Savoyards, and the Adventure Theatre Adam Michael as Magellan Adam Michael is an actor/singer from New York. Adam's voice is raspy and raw. He trained under Robert Cuciolli and Wyssadria Wooseley. He was last seen in the Equity Showcase of "The Musical Age" and the off off broadway production or "Rock-a My Soul". Some of his favorite credits include "Albert & Alice", "Jekyll & Hyde", "Thoroughly Modern Millie", "My Fair Lady", and "Guys and Dolls". Adam also appeared on television and films, notably 'In the Still of the NIght' and 'Appolyon' Dwight Brasswell as Padre Enrique Dwight Brasswell voice is angelic, pure. Dwight Braswell just wrapped The Pacific, a 10 part mini-series where he plays Steve Evanson, a private first class in the US Marines. The story is about World War II where the US fought against the Japanese. The executive producers are Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg and much of the project was shot in Melbourne, Australia. The miniseries is scheduled to air on HBO in 2009. Dwight competed at two consecutive IMTA conventions and won Talent of the Year at NY in 2005. He went on to have guest appearances on The Guiding Light, As The World Turns and How To Succeed In Middle School. Dwight is the vocalist of "Mere", a five-piece band from New York City, they have opened for national acts like INXS, OK Go, Oasis, and The Black Crowes.Their song 'Higher' was used in NBC Olympic highlight reel, which featured Michael Phelps and the USA women's gymnastics team! Mere was chosen to be part of the SOUNDTRACK OF THE USA OLYMPIC TEAM, along with Sheryl Crow, Nelly and 3 Doors Down.
