Woe to the Conquered
Oshiego's New Album, 'Woe To The Conquered': A Morbid Tale of Conquest Singapore's death metal Pharaohs, Oshiego, finally released their awaited album, 'Woe to The Conquered'. Following their successful earlier releases such as 'Now Suffer' and 'Unending Carnage' which were highly reviewed by zines such as Metalstorm.ee and Sea Of Trainquility respectively, this latest album borrows the imagery from the Legacy of Kain video game series. 'Legacy of Kain symbolizes power, control and free will. That is what death metal is all about,' explains Umar Khan, songwriter and now, vocalist of Oshiego. "We've been playing the songs for a long time and we've gotten good responses from our fans. It's just so f***in brutal!" Fauzt, ex-Impiety drummer, was impressed with the maturity and songwriting and decided to join the band shortly after Vijesh was asked to leave. Despite the morbid and violent nature of the album, Khan describes this release to be catchy and fun rather than evil. Aiming to capture the hearts of both thrash and death metal fans and mastered by the very people responsible for Vader's sound, Hertz studios, the album is a perfect stimulant for the ears of adrenaline junkies.
