One & One
Two strangers brought together by the gravity of music. Dave Nolf and Chad Moran are One and One. Performing together for less than a year these two singer-songwriters are bound to put Buffalo, New York on the map once again. Blending the eclectic sounds similar to that of John Mayer, Augustana, and Jack Johnson; with guitar riffs and fretwork reminiscent of Eric Clapton, Santana and B.B. King, Nolf and Moran have been well received at bars and coffeehouses all over the Western New York music scene. At only 19 and 20 years old Nolf and Moran stay true to their original sound by refusing to conform to the bland echo of mediocre music. So young, yet these old souls truly define the meaning behind the diverse mix of blues and rock. Budding from Grand Island, a suburb of Buffalo, New York, One and One explode with their exceptional talents to entice friends, families, and communities all over Western New York. Influenced by a broad spectrum of distinctive musicians such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Matt Kearney, Keith Urban, Jason Mraz, and Coldplay, One and One draws their talent and motivation to continue down the path to create a musical resonance of their own. Performing at Buffalo's legendary venues, The Tralf, Nietzsche\'s, and Club Infinity, One and One reaches out and appeals to a diverse audience. Along with these performances and with help from established local musician Marc Scibilia and filmmaker Julian Smith, a video for their debut single "Pushin Through" was filmed (see below). Following the 2008 release of their self-titled debut EP, Nolf and Moran are back in the studio working on material for their full-length album due in 2009. With a harmony of authenticity accompanied by a melody of honesty, One and One exudes depth and power during an unparalleled performance that will put the audience into a coma of music and obsession. It is now time that you sit back, close your eyes, relax and enjoy the melodic journey that is One and One.
