"Tumblecreep" is the newest release from Bumbershoot Records artist Oliver Bixby, who has spent many years touring and making demos, playing smaller venues to a warm reception. At the beginning of the year, a number of songs began to take shape with a similar style. The resulting collection is "Tumblecreep", a carefree yet concise album. Acoustic at the core, these songs were crafted with simple arrangements, in some cases just one guitar and one vocal, and other times layered with more ephemeral sounds. The result is a cohesive-sounding album where each song maintains a moody atmosphere, yet each song contains unique sonic textures. From the drumlooped funk of "Dirty Dirty", a story about an overzealous shoeshiner in New Orleans, to the woodsy folk of "Cicadas", and back around to the gang chorus of "Shadows", Oliver Bixby flexes his range of musical motion on "Tumblecreep" with ease.
