Pacific Radio Fire
Seven years in the making, three guitarists, one bassist, too many timing corrections in ProTools to count, and at least five different synthesizer changes. That becomes the legacy of the recording process of the third CD by Now That They're Here. Starting almost immediately in 2004 after the release of Auschwitz Bound, Kevin Brislin and Fred Nowicki recorded one song...then stopped working together due to distance and time constraints. Over the next four years, Brislin worked on the twelve songs that make up this CD from a variety of sources; Richard Brautigan, Ray Bradbury, Clive Barker, abstract painting, John Newton Howard, death, questioning, war, Buddhism. And along the way, two other guitarists were brought in to work on two different songs and a new recording studio was broken in while mixing and mastering the CD.
