Liveoriginal Northwest Blues
The first two songs from Norman's newest recording project have just been released. Recorded live at Ethos Inc in June, the new CD single has now been mastered, duplicated and packaged and is in our hands. It was worth the wait. Airplay copies have been sent to radio stations, so please ask your favorite deejay to spin Fine As Frog Hair and Please Lie To Me. First copies are on sale at Music Millennium and right from our hands at Norman Sylvester Band gigs, will soon be available from iTunes and CD Baby. Download it if you like, but the physical CD with photography by Kim Almaise, publisher of Kim's Blues Letter down in Eugene OR sure makes a nice collector's item. This close to Christmas, buy a whole bunch for ideal stocking stuffers. These two songs, both originals written by Norman, are straight-up blues numbers, one fast and one slow, one telling a story of growing up in the south, one a tale of love and love lost, as only Norman can write them. These two cuts are performed by the basic four piece core band with great piano playing by Frankie Redding Jr, great guitar playing and singing by Norman, and solid backing by the father and son rhythm section of Rob and Paul Shoemaker. A portion of the proceeds from this recording will be donated to Ethos Inc to support youth music education.
