Darker Shades of Gray
Nitewalk's album 'Darker Shades of Gray' is a melting pot. It's roughly progressive but different to the well known stereotypes. The Arrangements cross through the elements of rock, blues, metal, jazz and classic. The specific workflow allowed spontaneous ideas and a personal imprint of each musician involved; all of them 'natives' to different genres. Embedded within an ostensive missing concept there is a surprising scenery of 'Noncept-Prog' waiting for the audience. Nitewalk, that is a group of seasoned German musicians. Producer Christian brought together friends and professionals to start something for him absolutely new. Together with Michael, Kai and Daniel the work on the first album began in april 2009. Therefor, Christian and Kai start to evolve first song arrangements and basic ideas. Then, afterwards Michael sets up the drums and Daniel chipped in the vocals finally. Both got a 'free run for everything.' Additionally, Marek Arnold (Toxic Smile, Seven Steps to the Green Door) gave his support. He wrote the piano ballad 'gray angels' and contributed keyboards for several songs. Daniel Fischer is voice of 'No inner Limits' since the beginning of the 1990s. Christian Jungebluth, former guitarist with 'Accid Reign' (Hamburg), today is producer, audio engineer and guitar teacher. While opening his recording studio his steps crossed those of Kai. Michael Ehré is a professional musician, currently touring with 'Firewind', 'Uli Jon Roth' and 'Kee Marcello'. His debut album 'Brace for Impact' of his band 'Love Might Kill' has recently been realeased. Michael and Christian met during a recording session in Hamburg. Kai Kleinewig is bassplayer with 'Tubeless' and 'Voice2Bass'. His musical origins lie within the rock genre and Frank Zappa is his favorite composer.
