Nine Grey Clouds
Nine Grey Clouds was begun solely as an artistic side project to find homes for all the musical ideas in the psychedelic world of Michael Grey McLeod. Many of the ideas presented are simply too abstract for use in his primary projects, Bloodshot Pyramid and Acoustic Couch Conspiracy. Upon presenting Nine Grey Clouds to his film editor friend Sandra Adair in the spring of 2007, Michael found himself composing and recording for his first film score credit, Inning by Inning: A Portrait of a Coach, directed by Richard Linklater. This documentary, along with an equally lengthy companion piece (2 DVD set) was comissioned by ESPN to Detour Filmproduction and proved to clock in hundreds of hours of composing and recording. It was during these times that Nine Grey Clouds evolved into more than a small recording side project; Many of these songs can be heard on the documentary Inning by Inning: Portrait of a Coach to be released in April of 2008.
