Lawrence (Niko) Albury II was born and raised in a church bench in the city Philadelphia. Born to Elder Lawrence and Annette Albury, he was taught at a young age to fear and live for the Lord. He was intoduced to Christian rap at the age of 14, but never thought twice about actually doing it. Niko's first love has always been music, but he was an aspiring drummer. Through playing drums he met Emanuel Lambert aka Da Truth. They begin to link up on a regular basis, and what started as a drum lesson turned to a brotherhood that has yet to disconnect. He had the opportunity to travel a little with Da Truth when 'The Moment of Truth' was released and that kind of got the spark going for his own ministry. Now you can find Niko rocking out for the Lord Jesus Christ week in and week out through production and rap. In 2006 he released a demo album entitled 'My Life, My Heart'. He took a little time off due to some personal issues and not wanting to half step on his gift. Three years later, he is now ready to release his debut album 'Paperboy-The Good News in Black and White'. For this project he reached out to his friends to assist in production and actually featuring on songs. You can find artist (Philly natives) as Da Truth, Concepts, Desha Light, Iyso, and Melissa T on this project. We can't leave out the producers, we have JR for So Hot Productions, BJ Shores, and Niko himself. The idea behind the album is to let the body of Christ know that it is our job to spread the Gospel. The imagery you get from that is a paperboy either on a bike route, or standing on the corner pushing the daily news. The Paperboy is on his grind daily rain, sleet, or snow. And he has one focus, and that's to get the news out! Niko's prayer is that people would get to know his Lord and savior Jesus Christ for themselves through his music.
