Aaron is a 34 year old Tasmanian based solo artist who has been playing various instruments from an early age. He performs under the the name ' The National Average. ' He started his playing career in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia as a drummer in a band called ' The Banana Spliffs. ' Their biggest highlight was supporting The Screaming Jets in April 1998. Having enough of playing in front of smaller crowds he made the move to Perth, W.A. and formed another band in 2000 called ' New Forth Army ', a very tight and well polished three piece band which had a melodic punk-pop sound very unique to Perth at the time. Sadly after the band recorded an eight song demo they split up. Frustrated by this Aaron decided to move back to his home state of Tasmania. He saved all his money to buy everything he needed to set up his own studio from home to write and record his songs by himself. His musical versatility became evident on his new debut E.P. ' Apathite ' which he funded and recorded on his own at Woodstock Studios in Melbourne. These songs were chosen from a stockpile of songs Aaron has ready to go on to an album in the near future.
