White a Christmas CD
White A Christmas CD By Nathan Madsen I grew up in Oregon, we didn't have white Christmas's there very often. I remember that when it did snow they would cancel school with one snow flake on the ground and it was an extra holiday for the children, if you were really lucky and prayed really hard, it might even snow enough to go sledding that afternoon. Then after all of that hard work come in for some hot cocoa that mother had just made for you and your friends. Now older and in Idaho with a child of my own I felt that naming my CD white is appropriate because of the symbolic nature that color brings to the season. I live in Idaho where I get to spend much of my time inside at the piano writing a musical soundtrack to my life, and to the seasons. I love the first snow as one of the tracks I recorded for the CD. This project has been a few years in coming. After a hundred or so rejection letters from record labels, and doubting my own abilities just as many times, I mustered up the courage and invested in myself (I guess I'm a believer in the kind of return I'll get...) I hope you enjoy this Collection of New and Traditional Christmas songs, in a way you may have never heard before. I have appreciated the music of George Winston, David Lanz, and others for many years. I now hope you will appreciate mine, I don't feel that the music is mine, but a gift to share with others, and I hope you will give this CD as a traditional gift on Thanks Giving an early Christmas present to start the holiday season (after all who wants to open a Christmas CD on Christmas and then listen to it for only a week...) Pay particular attention to the track a soldiers tear, it was written for a mother who lost her son defending our great country. A portion of the CD will go to humanitarian aid worldwide. Thanks for your support. PLEASE NOTE: TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE ALL THE SONGS ON THE CD ARE PUBLIC DOMAIN IF YOU ARE AWARE OF ONE THAT IS NOT PLEASE EMAIL ME THANK YOU.
