Verge of Calamity
Nameless Decade is a concept that time is not universal, life is constant, and love is the only savior of ones dreams. That being said, Nameless Decade, the last decade, was one of the most intensely political and destructive decades imaginable. We as a people, have devolved into fear mongrels and forget what it means to love one another. 'Verge of Calamity' released December 7, 2010 is filled with passion on the philosophical level as well as in the music level. Filled with orchestral arrangements, backwards violins, synthesizers, acoustic and distorted electric guitars, booming bass-lines, and lyrics that will make you think about your simplistic life filled with complicated emotions and anxiety filled thoughts. 'Change Your Ways' is a power driven hit song about one changing their egocentric or drug induced ways. 'Verge of Calamity' is an acid-jazz, orchestral/rock Christmas song about the materialistic obsession of the holidays. 'Figment' is a Bob Dylan inspired song about Changing the world you live in by listening to those around you. 'Hypocrisy' is a song about how hypocritical we are as a society and as a people. 'Nameless Decade' is a song about a disillusioned society filled with maniacal socio-pathetic takers who care not to think about you before they take your last thought. 'No Dancing' is a song about not wanting to 'dance' with someone. Well you, the listener will decide. We hope we have served you well.
