Murderhouse (Angelo Delquadro, Daniel Kennedy, Ian Mayer and Andrew Walls) are Philadelphia musicians exploring the possibilities of progressive/metal/jazz fusion-influenced rock music. Like an alien spaceship passing overhead, the music explodes in waves of mind-shattering, scalding sound and rhythm. Born right out of the Philly 'scene' (yet invariably sticking out like sore thumbs), the band began cutting it's teeth in early 2006. A relentless local performance schedule eventually culminated in the release of their first extended-play CD 'A.D' (April, 2008). The group's instrumental attitude stems from a willingness to let the music tell the story. Their music has plenty to say, even without words- whether borrowing from jazz and Latin themes or from progressive metal, every song takes the listener on a unique journey. The absence of vocals has also made it possible for the music to avoid fitting into any one genre or niche, while maintaining exceptionally high levels of energy. With all the raw power of grunge, the experimentalism of psychedelic rock, and the sophistication of a Frank Zappa composition, their listeners tend to be as diverse as their music is. Murderhouse invites everyone to delve into the musical madness that can only be found at the source. Our mission is a musical journey and everyone is invited. Buckle up, blast off and enjoy the ride!
