Moxie Bio Tuesday, January 26th 2010. 1900 HRS. House arrest day 11. Me, the writer, sitting in a cold room jammin out to a Moxie CD. This is the music that keeps me chill, not throwin a bitch/hissy fit for my parents. This is also the music that makes me want to crank up the volume and dance in my underwear, because I know no one is watching. And a note to all you teenage girls: I don't recommend sneaking out to see your boyfriend while your parents aren't home; because they always come home earlier than expected. So while all you kids enjoy your over played radio pop and MTV, I will be sitting in bed. Head against the wall, eyelids closed; listening to one of the few remaining genuine indie bands- Moxie. From what I have found on the internet and stories my English teacher has told me, the band focuses the writing based on thier favorite influences and adding thier own twist to make a upbeat Root-rock type of music. The bands writes honest rock music with a female voice that doesn't get dragged into the dramatic, but let's the listener know that things will continue on. What happens when you put together four talented musicians all with an equal rebellion against MTV and mainstream radio? Moxie is what happens. Born in Southern California, the core of the band has always been Roger and Shane; aka the guitarist and drummer. In the early stages of Moxie, the band went through some changes before getting rounded out by Don (Bass) and Taylin on Vocals.
