Songs About a Small Town
Born and raised in Middletown, NJ, he spent his early years listening to the likes of Hank Williams Jr., Mearle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Phil Vassar, Pat Green, and Tim McGraw. In 2002, he packed up and moved down to Nashville, Tennessee, where he went to college and began making some headway as a song writer, playing in local clubs and bars every night. In early 2006, Mike headed back home to the Jersey Shore. It was then that he decided, along with his cousin, College, to open up their own record label; Overdose Music.
