Mexicolas is a ship steadied by the capable hands of writer Jamie Evans, who co-produced and performed most of 'The Minerva Suite' on his own. The title is aptly taken from Mexicolas' own 18th century former public house turned studio where the album was conceived. Produced and engineered in the UK by Dan Sprigg (Lost Prophets) and then mixed in L.A by Adam Hawkins (Maroon 5, Switchfoot, Pink) this album is a very bold stamp on the Indie/Rock crossover field. The Minerva Suite is the second album from Mexicolas, and it's a tour de force of clever songs and impassioned vocal performances throughout. Lyrically, it is soaking with image provoking brilliance that marries up well with the ever changing moods of each song. From the off set, this album is one that quenches your musical thirst and will no doubt embed itself firmly in your record collection. As the immortal Beethoven once said 'what comes from the heart, goes to the heart', and 'The Minerva Suite' does exactly that.
