As with my 1st solo album 'Music with Mary . . . for my friends!', all the composers, arrangers, and musicians involved on this CD have affected my life in a substantial way. I hope that the music here will show my appreciation . . . my thanks to each of you could never be measured any other way! Since re-entering the solo artist arena in 2004, Mary has performed extensively throughout the United States, Canada, the Czech Republic, China and New Zealand. She's appeared as a soloist with the Mantovani Orchestra, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra in the Czech Republic, and the Auckland Symphony in New Zealand, as well as numerous Accordion Orchestras. Mary presented the United States premiere of Klaus Paier's 'Tango for Five' at the Coupe Mondiale (World Accordion Champhionship) held in 2007 in Alexandria, Virginia, and also performed the world premiere of Maddalena Belfiore's 'Scherzo in B flat minor' at the American Accordionists' Association 70th Anniversary Accordion Extravaganza at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York in June of 2008. On February 13, 2010, Mary will appear with the Prince George's Philharmonic performing Astor Piazzolla's Concerto for Bandoneon and Orchestra. February of 2011 will include a performance of Gary Daverne's 'Rhapsody for Accordion and Orchestra' with the Hamden Symphony Orchestra in Hamden, Connecticut.
