\'Marianne\'s songs sneak up on you and BOP you in the face!\'......David Fishken Twenty plus years of writing and performing has brought Marianne from her musical roots in upstate NY to the northeast coast of Massachusetts. As a solo act, Marianne has been featured in clubs, coffeehouses and listening rooms all over the northeast and beyond. She has shared the stage with artists such as: Patty Larkin, Dar Williams, Patty Griffin, Jennifer Kimball, Catie Curtis, Carol Noonan, Kevin Barry, Vance Gilbert, Harvey Reid, Chuck Brodsky, Cormac McCarthy, Willie Porter, Carrie Newcomer, and disappear fear. Marianne\'s 1996 self produced debut CD, \'Distant Drum\', has enjoyed attention in the acoustic community and is now in it\'s second printing. Her second and new CD, \'innocence, impulse, and loss\'...., is the artists\' long anticipated release totally produced, engineered and performed by herself on a 8 track DAW in her home studio. \'My desire was to record an album completely acoustic and homegrown.\' The project comes after the songwriters\' brief hiatus from performing during which time she has spent arranging and recording others artist\'s projects in her home based studio.
