From Then Til Now 2
Mandy Strobel, born in 1949 in Ulm, was inspired at the age of 8 when he heard music from US soldier's stationed near his home in Ulm. With a little help from his American step-dad he learned how to play the guitar. Mandy's first public gig was in a US officer's Club. After that he played with young American soldiers in several hobby bands. In 1985 he founded his first band "Mandy's East-Place-Company", where he covered songs by Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. He finally found his own style in 1994, which is present on his first CD. Between 1994 and 2009 Mandy found time to release new CDs (On the other Side-2003; Between the Lines-2005; The Way I Feel-2006) and toured throughout Europe and the USA. In 2009 Mandy began to write and produce his Musical auto-biography "From Then Til Now" (a set of 5 CDs) of mostly original material. "From Then Til Now" vol 1 and 2 were released in 2010 and 2011 respectively. The planned release of "From Then Til Now" vol. 3 is 2013.
