Jump to Escape Predators
'Mandeverest hails from Toronto, Canada... Jump To Escape Predators demands repeated listening and is instantly accessible in the best tradition of rock. Their sound is unique and is based around the fabulous voice of lead singer Mandy Mintz (also songwriter and guitarist). You can hear who their musical influences are; Sabbath, The Breeders and 70's punk/new wave. I have heard a lot of new bands in my lifetime but none which made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Mandeverest pushed all my musical buttons and made my journey to work with them a pleasurable experience whilst listening to their latest release. ' Mark Christopher Lee - Dig This Real Mandeverest is a brand new band whose mountain of melodic '70's punk inspired rock will blow you away! Mandy Mintz (The Beethoven Frieze) sings, plays guitar and is the writer of these indie garage rock tunes. Al Bradbury (Noodlehouse) and Mintz entertain with their dueling guitars while Kevin Anderson (Creemers) plays bass and drummer James van Bolhuis (Noodlehouse) keep the rhythm section tight and in the pocket. Their new CD, "Jump To Escape Predators" was released late 2009. It was recorded and produced by John Critchley (Dan Mangan, Elliot Brood) at Green Door Studios. Critchley helped capture the Buzzcocks meets Breeders sound that they intended.
