Shades of Blue
Majoka, Maja erlandsson grew up in a musical family, got introduced to the piano at the age of six and grabbed the micro a couple years later. She went from pop to minimalistic funk-electro trip hop and landed where she started off, somewhere in the borderland between pop and soul but with a touch of jazz. In 2005 Majoka was one of the two lead singers in the bossa nova band (remake) of the Gimmicks from the 70's, which was set up in a new constellation with refreshed members. 2007 her debut album Let me be me was released, recorded in Spain on Locomotion Production and distributed by Universal music. Today Majoka is putting together the finishing touches of her second album, Shades of blue which she produces on her own label majokamusic. This time we can look forward to a further distinguished sound where she experiments more both instrumentally speaking in her playing, as well as vocally. Her musical skills come to it's right as she comfortably creates her own style and it is obvious that Majoka has developed since her first album. She's accompanied by some well established names in the industry, from all over the world.
